Asia’s Top Outstanding Marketeers Recognized at the First Ever Asia Youth, Women, Netizen Marketing Excellence Awards 2018
Asian Marketing Federation (AMF) held the award giving ceremony of the first ever Asia Youth, Women, Netizen Marketing Excellence Awards 2018 to recognize the outstanding marketeers of Asia. Asia YWN Marketing Excellence Awards is the first of its kind, initiated by AMF, to acknowledge and celebrate the impact of youth, women, and netizens in Asia who excel in the field of marketing. The award goes for their outstanding and innovative strategies, tactics and values, and how these elements result in sales growth, market share growth and net income growth. The gala was hosted by Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS) on March 16, 2018 at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.
The awards were given in three categories: Asia’s Top Outstanding Youth Marketeer of the Year, Asia’s Top Outstanding Women Marketeer of the Year, and Asia’s Top Outstanding Netizen/ Digital Marketeer of the Year. This Youth criterion was open to all Asians (Male/Female) of age within 21-35 years and had at least 3 years business operations or employment with exemplary marketing performance to attain growth in sales and profitability according to P&L or with breakthrough innovation. The Women criterion was open to all Asian female marketeers with a proven track record of success through marketing and the Netizen award was for any marketer in net-site operation with remarkable digital innovation, influence, and marketing performance.
An esteemed jury board evaluated the final nominations based on nominee’s achievements through outstanding and innovative strategies, tactics and values, and how these elements resulted in sales growth, market share growth and net income growth. The finalists were selected through a rigorous process by the local marketing associations (NMAs) with local panel of judges. Then the local winners were forwarded to AMF for final evaluation
The final jury session was held in Jakarta, Indonesia in December 2017. Simandjuntak, Commissioner at PremiAir; Ms. Gwen Albarracin, President, Asia Marketing Federation & Past President, Philippine Marketing Association; Mr. Mineo Harrotri, Secretary General, Japan Marketing Association; Mr. Roger Wang, President, Marketing Institute of Singapore; Mr. Rohan Somawansa, First Vice President, AMF & Past President, Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing; Mr. Somchat Visitchaichan, Vice President, Marketing Association of Thailand; and Mr. Yaya Junardy, President, AMF Foundation & Past President, Indonesia Marketing Association.
On the gala, Mr. Harmawan Kartajaya, Co-Founder, AMF, & President, Asian Council for Small Business (ACSB); Ms. Gwen Albarracin, President, AMF; Mr. Masaki Ishibashi, Fellow of AMF Board of Trustees and Executive Director of Japan Marketing Association handed over the awards among the winners. Each of the winners have profound contribution in the sector of marketing from both individual and organizational level.

Also Special Recognition was given to Ms. Uswatun Hasanah, Founder, Jokotole Collection, Indonesia as Asia’s Woman Marketing Excellence Awardee.
The award giving ceremony came to end with celebration of the awards through gala dinner and entertainment show.
