AGORA Awards

The Agora Awards is considered as the highest marketing distinction in the Philippines. The Philippine Marketing Association established the awards to shine a spotlight on Filipino marketing excellence, with an emphasis on ingenuity, versatility, and innovation. Forty years since its humble beginnings, the Agora Awards continues to celebrated individuals and companies who have made significant contributions to the marketing profession and whose products and services have improved the Filipino’s way of life.

Realizing the need to recognize the efforts of these outstanding marketers, the Philippine Marketing Association pioneered the Agora Awards, an award-giving body that gives due recognition to marketing excellence in the Philippines. Since 1979, the Agora Awards has been setting the Philippine Marketing scene afire, honoring many deserving practitioners with its now much coveted Agora trophy, and serving as an inspiration and standard for marketing excellence in the Philippine and the Asia-Pacific Region.

Award Categories

For Companies

  • Marketing Company of the Year
    • Awarding companies founded and established in the Philippines, marketing an original Filipino brand
    • With at least 51% Filipino ownership and a minimum of ten (10) years operations
  • Outstanding Achievement in Export Marketing
    • Awarding companies founded and established in the Philippines directly exporting for at least three (3) years marketing an original Filipino product
    • With at least 51% Filipino ownership and a minimum of three (3) years operations
  • Outstanding Achievement in Advocacy Marketing
    • Awarding Filipino-owned companies that have institutionalized Advocacy Marketing programs that are running for at least three (3) years, with Filipino beneficiaries.

For Individuals

  • Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Management
    • Nominee must be the Chief Marketing Officer/Executive of a company for at least three (3) years.
    • The company must have shown exemplary growth and performance in sales, market share and profitability under the nominee’s leadership
  • Outstanding Achievement in Overseas Marketing
    • Nominee must be a Filipino Marketing executive holding a regional or global position for a minimum of two (2) years
    • The company must have shown exemplary growth and performance in sales, market share and profitability under the nominee’s leadership.
    • This category was formerly called Asia-Pacific Marketing
  • Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communications
    • Nominee must be the Chief Marketing Officer/Executive of a Marketing Communications company for at least three (3) years
    • The company must be involved in above-the-line, below-the-line, digital and relevant media and the nominee must have significantly contributed to the growth of their client’s businesses
    • The newest category added in 2014
  • Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Education
    • Nominee must be a faculty member teaching Marketing for at least five (5) years in a duly accredited and recognized educational institution in the Philippines.
    • The nominee must have made relevant contributions to Marketing Education through research and publication.
  • Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship
    1. Small Scale: Small Enterprise with Asset Size of Php 3MM to Php 15MM
      • Must be the Owner/Partner of the business with exemplary performance to attain growth in sales, market share, and profitability (in the last three (3) years)
    2. Medium Scale – Medium Enterprise with Asset Size of Php 15MM to Php 100MM
      • Must be the Owner/Partner of the business with exemplary performance to attain growth in sales, market share, and profitability (in the last three (3) years)
    3. Large Scale – Large Enterprise with Asset Size Above Php 100MM
      • Must be the Owner/Partner of the business with exemplary performance to attain growth in sales, market share, and profitability (in the last three (3) years)
