Agora Awards

The Agora Awards is an annual recognition program organized by the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) to honor outstanding individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional marketing practices and contributed to the growth and development of the marketing profession in the Philippines.

The awards program was first launched in 1979 and has since become one of the most prestigious marketing awards in the country. The Agora Awards recognizes various categories, including Marketing Company of the Year, Marketing Agency of the Year, and Marketing School of the year, among others.

The selection process involves a rigorous screening of nominees by a panel of judges composed of industry experts and thought leaders. Nominees are evaluated based on their marketing strategies, results, and impact on their respective industries and communities.

Winning an Agora Award is considered a significant achievement in the Philippine marketing industry and is a testament to the recipient’s commitment to excellence and innovation in marketing practices.

The Marketing Enterprise

Advocacy Marketing Company of the Year

The Advocacy Marketing Company of the Year is presented upon a company that has shown exemplary performance in corporate social responsibility programs including ethical practices in doing business. It is awarded to companies that have demonstrated achievements in community development, environmental preservation, corporate governance, employee well-being, among others
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino- owned company in existence for at least three (3) years
  • With institutionalized Advocacy (e.g. CSR) program for the last three (3) years
  • Advocacy program must have used applicable marketing tools.
  • With established metrics on Advocacy program success
 

UN- GCNP Advocacy Marketing Company of the Year

UN- GCNP Advocacy Marketing Company of the Year is presented upon a company that has made outstanding achievements in its sustainability programs relative to the 10 Principles of sustainable business and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations- Global Compact Network Philippines.
Qualification:
  • Must be Philippine-based company in existence for at least three (3) years
  • With institutionalized UN- GCNP Advocacy (e.g. CSR) program for the last three (3) years
  • UN- GCNP Advocacy program must have used applicable marketing tools.
  • With established metrics on UN- GCNP Advocacy program success

Export Marketing Company of the Year

The Export Marketing Company of the Year award is presented upon a company that has shown outstanding export victory for its products and services or built a long-term relationship with an international business partner to deliver substantial growth. It is awarded to a company that has achieved sustainable models, innovative practices, and ethical approaches in exportation.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino-owned company operating for at least 3 years
  • Must be a direct exporter of Filipino products and services

Marketing School of the Year

The Marketing School of the Year award is presented to an educational institution that has shown excellence and innovation in marketing education and related activities throughout the year. It acknowledges the school's commitment to providing high-quality education, fostering student success, and making significant contributions to the marketing field.
Qualification:
  •  Must be a duly accredited formal educational institution, recognized by the Philippine government
  • Must have a degree related to Marketing

Marketing Agency of the Year

The Marketing Agency of the Year award is presented to an agency that has demonstrated outstanding performance, creativity, and innovation in the industry throughout the year. It recognizes the agency's ability to deliver exceptional results for its clients, to showcase innovative marketing strategies.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino- owned marketing agency in existence for at least three (3) years

Marketing Company of the Year

The Marketing Company of the Year award is presented upon a company that has shown superior business results through meaningful marketing practices. It is awarded to a company that exhibits comprehensive, strategic approach to marketing, moving across practices that drive excellence & measurable results.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino- owned company in existence for at least three (3) years

The Marketing Luminaries

Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Management

The Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Management is presented upon an individual who has shown exemplary performance and commitment in driving the brand and delivering outstanding results that achieve company’s strategic objectives. It is awarded to an individual with combination of proven achievements having an impact on their brand and raising the reputation of their industry.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Chief Marketing Officer/ Executive
  • Must represent a company where he/ she had at least 3 years of tenure

Outstanding Achievement in Overseas Marketing

The Outstanding Achievement in Overseas Marketing is presented upon an individual who has shown exemplary performance in a global or regional role and has made outstanding impact on his/ her company and its industry, as well as the reputation of marketing among its customers. It is awarded to individuals who demonstrated contributions to international marketing management.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino Chief Marketing Officer/ Executive currently posted overseas
  • Must represent a company where he/ she had at least 3 years of tenure

Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Education

The Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Education is presented upon an exemplary marketing educator who has distinguished him/herself in the practice of teaching marketing. It is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, leadership and excellence in teaching, research, mentorship and service to promote and uphold professionalism in the marketing discipline.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino faculty member teaching marketing courses in an educational institution

Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship

The Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship is presented upon an exemplary entrepreneur who has shown extraordinary abilities in building and sustaining a successful and dynamic business. It is awarded to an individual who displays strong entrepreneurism and stands out as an inspiration for others to become effective entrepreneurs.
  • Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship (Small Enterprise) with PHP 3,000,001 to PHP 15,000,000 in assets and 10 to 99 employees
  • Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship (Medium Enterprise) PHP 15,000,001 to PHP 100,000,000 in assets and 100 to 199 employees
  • Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship (Large Enterprise) have over PHP 100,000,001 or more in assets and 200 or more employees

Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino Owner/ Partner of the business
  • Must represent a Filipino- owned, company in existence for at least three (3) years

Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communication

The Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communication is presented upon an individual with exceptional communication leadership. This is awarded to an individual who exhibits ability to deliver strategic communication excellence across different vehicles.
Qualification:
  • Must be a Filipino marketing Communications Officer/ Management Executive and/or individuals in either client or non-client side
  • Must have relevant case studies on implemented marketing communication strategies for the last three (3) years.
