On its 67th year, the Philippine Marketing Association, is staging its 51st National Marketing Conference. This year, the country’s premier marketing association is taking it up a notch with innovative landmark efforts.

Created for world-class marketing practices targeting business, industry, and academe, the National Marketing Conference (NMC) is a yearly event that is one of PMA’s regular activities drawing an audience of the country’s professional marketeers, and budding practitioners, entrepreneurs, and startups.

Called Reimagineering the Future of Marketing, this year’s NMC brings marketing communications on the path where creativity and imagination, innovation and technology, data science, and structure all converge.

Re-IMAGE-(Imagine)-ENGINEER-ing when dissected consists of Image, a capture or rendition of matter or idea. An image is a realization of a concept, a definition of its parts that renders clarity. Imagine is that intangible ingredient, that potent piece that propels from ideation to creation.

Next is Engine\er that is to create and manipulate a system or structure of elements athat sync together in movement. Engineer is both noun and verb. Man x Machine in tandem create the system of parts that can move in unison, and create direction. This, in a nutshell, is art, science and technology.

Together with Marketing, that is the art and science of creating and delivering a need, and achieving loyalty and purpose–all the above combine into one, well-crafted event.

“We chose the theme because we’re on a continuing journey on how the new dynamics of marketing and the future-proofing of our business will take shape,” says Lucien DyTioco, 2020 and 2021 PMA president, and EVP of the Philippine Star.

As the economy still reels from the pandemic, the advertising and communications industry relied on innovation, digital technology, creative marketing, and best use of logistics, and data analytics to remain relevant.

“There is a great amount of uncertainty where the pandemic is leading us, but one thing is for sure, we cannot go back to what we were accustomed to,” adds DyTioco.

Reimagineering the Future of Marketing is a narrative from an idea to a clear vision of the future, and having the means to shape and continue to transform it.

As the country’s premiere marketing association, the PMA has a strong voice in the region as a member of the Asia Marketing Federation. This September, the AMF participates in full, with no other than its president Kim Boonjong as Plenary Speaker on September 29.

Orchestrating the NMC as Overall Chair, Edwin Mapanao shares, “Under the new normal, companies must pivot and evaluate the pillars of great sustainable companies, product leadership and innovation, operational excellence in the value chain, and customer-centricity.”

Studded with AMF-powered Plenary that brings the region’s renowned figures in one stage, the NMC boasts the added attraction of having a full breakout featuring the United Nations Global Compact Network Philippines members. Unknown to many, PMA is a co-founder of the UN GCNP, and serves as Philippine secretariat.

The pandemic has made everyone reach deep down and go digital and mobile, so the NMC is going with the flow with its pioneer hybrid event with livestreaming and VR-enhancement providing agile and flexible delegate experience.

This year’s NMC valiantly sets its course to achieve monumental goals: Bring the Philippine Marketing Association-51st National Marketing Conference delegates at the core of digital transformation to bring everyone to the 4th Industrial Revolution.

With smart use of technology, marketing skills, data and innovation inspire total business transformation. This leads to sustainable economies, inclusive growth, and equal opportunity and responsible progress to build resilience, and thrive in the next phases of global evolution: post-pandemic, global seamlessness

Together with visionaries, future thinkers, and accomplished leaders, the conference promises to provide delegates with the critical tools, strategic models, and the imagination to not only survive the current demands, but to challenge the usual, encouraging innovation and bravery

“The NMC aims to equip marketers with the right tools and battle gear, create strategic blueprints, and upskill them to become agile and digital-ready,” says Mapanao.

The 51st National Marketing Conference has all the regular attractions of a physical event translated onto the virtual platform. There’s a virtual Trade Exhibit expected to flip the usual delegate experience.
