The Philippine Marketing Association recognizes that ABS-CBN, in its 65 years of service, has played a major role in shaping the nation, being a source of news, entertainment, and information for several industries for Filipinos here and abroad. We also honor their heroic efforts to not only provide relevant information and timely coverage on the current pandemic, but also to give help to our Filipino citizens who are affected in this crisis.
ABS-CBN has also been one of the integral media where we, as marketers, can deliver our brand’s marketing communication messages to our target audience. With mainstream TV industry comprised of only a few networks, their closure poses business and social concerns.
The Philippine Marketing Association strongly appeals to the Congress to look into this matter urgently and expedite deliberation to bring back the TV network and its subsidiaries on air and visible to majority of the Filipinos.
